Don’t do it. Fiberglass batt insulation is fire resistant. Foam will burn easily and quickly creating toxic smoke. This video is expediently avoiding these risks.

Im not a big fan of spray foam insulation. Environmental impact, outgasing , expensive, trapping condensation on roof sheathing.

Thats really not used in the US anymore. It was big for a short time. Tyvek wrap outsider and standard pink fluff fiberglass or foam board inside. I know in the UK banks are starting to refuse mortgages on homes with this stuff and they are starting in the US also. It causes serious moisture issues in houses.

I wouldnt go as far as to say spray foam is preferred, but its certaily popular. Also who tf just sprays foam right on shingles? It looks like a lazy homeowner repair 😂

We used this foam on a shop it burnt down , in the process of building if you spray fire retarder over it it will burn slow ,but before that step , they were supposed to bolt door tracks. And guy used a grinder or a welder and left without telling anyone they had like literally 60 seconds before the whole shop was 100 percent in flames hot enough to bend the steel beams and melt rims off a truck it was insane , that shit is not to be messed with the rebuild of the shop was not with foam
It's nice but using it is messy risk of smell if mixed wrong you can't add a wire or pipe if you need to

Better hope your EM&P are all on point, and NEVER needs servicing or repairs.

No. In the US houses we dont have foam sprayed ON our roof.

Fiberglass over sprayfoam any day. I don't care if spray foam was free, still going fiberglass. Reasons are endless.

I would if I own my own home. Say this method would be good long-term. But short-term no thank you. Because long-term play cost less put short-term can cause you a lot of money.
